Leather Fabric - "Leather" is a common word in the leather market and it is different from synthetic leather. Mainly made from animal’s skin, leather has various species and different patterns and quality, therefore, price for it can be very different.

PU Fabric - PU is a man-made synthetic material with leather texture, very durable and it is different from artificial leather. PU synthetic leather is used to replace PVC artificial leather with higher price. From the chemical structure, it is closer to the leather fabric. Without using plasticizers, PU synthetic leather will not become hard or brittle. What’s more, it has a wide range of colors and patterns with cheap price, popular among customers.

Ways to distinguish leather, artificial leather and PU: first, look at the back of the fabric, generally, the back of PVC artificial leather and PU synthetic leather are kitted cloth and you can see it with your eyes; second, take a small piece of fabric to fire it, leather fabrics will not melt, but PVC artificial leather and PU synthetic leather will melt.

Method to distinguish PU and leather: put a small piece of fabric in gasoline for half an hour and then take it out, PVC artificial leather will become hard and brittle. For PU synthetic leather, however, it will not be hard and brittle.
